My research paper is done!

My rough draft is anyway. Now two of my peers will read it, and make corrections. I have to read two of my peers papers as well. I'm glad I have two days off this week to work on these papers, as well as a webquest power point presentation. Whew! I have a lot of reading to do!

I am excited to have two days off this week so I can spend some time with the girls too. I'm going to take them to see Hairspray on Thursday. I suspect that this will be the last day it will be in the theaters. We can see the movie and then go out for dinner. It will be a fun outing for us. :-)

I look forward to reading your replies. Helps me not miss big J as much.

1 week down, 11 to go!

Big J has 11 weeks to go in Holland. He isn't very sure about what he's doing there. He's in research and development. Not an area he thought he's be in. He thought he'd be watching a machine being made.

Little J got a great progress report today. She's doing so well in school. Her teacher would like 20 more of her. She behaves so well and works really hard at school.

F has the hearts of everyone who works with her. She has such a magnetic personality. We were watching Holes last night and she got scared at a part where a boy was throwing up and looked like he was really sick. She's so sweet and hates to see anyone hurt. America's Funniest Home Video is her least favorite show because of all the people getting hurt.

As for me, I'll be working on a research paper all weekend. I hope I can get it done. If not, I'll have to take a day off on Monday.

I got an A!

You Scored an A
You got 10/10 questions correct.

It's pretty obvious that you don't make basic grammatical errors.
If anything, you're annoyed when people make simple mistakes on their blogs.
As far as people with bad grammar go, you know they're only human.
And it's humanity and its current condition that truly disturb you sometimes.

90 days until Joe comes home!

The girls and I dropped Joe at the airport this morning. We left at 5:30, so the girls just went in their jammies. Joe will be back here in 90 days. We have a countdown on our desk calendar. We'll be marking off the days until he comes home. We'll miss him very much.

On the way home I was going to go to Albertsons to get dougnuts. But the girls didn' t have their shoes, so we hit the Krispy Kream drive through! :)

2 days left with Joe

2 days left until Joe leaves! Boyhowdy! I'm going to miss him. Then it will be 90 days until he comes home. Us girls are going to be pretty lonesome for him. I'm not even sure when we'll be able to talk to each other. We both have google talk in order to still talk to each other. We've been testing it while Joe was in Lehi.

J and F both had two different stomach flus this week. F's knocked her out and she slept for 36 hours. J's was super quick and over with quickly. 6 kids went home from our school today because they were throwing up. Those germs are all mixing around now that the kids are back in school. I hope Joe doesn't get it. That is the last thing he'll need while traveling.

6 Years ago today

6 years ago today, my sil was going to file for divorce. But as you know everything was closed due to 9/11. So she wasn't able to go file. Then my brother called her and told her to wait because he was in the Army. If he went to war, then she'd get more benefits if they were still married. Long story short, they are still married to this day. They made up and have even had a little boy since then.

That was a horrible, terrible day. I will never forget what I was doing when I found out we were under attack. I was getting ready for Bible study. My mom called me and told me we were under attack. I thought she was being dramatic. (Sorry mom) Alas, she was right. I woke up Joe, who was working nights, and we sat there until 1:00 watching the TV. I set up the girls with videos in the livingroom so they wouldn't have to see the horror.

I have faith that God was there in the towers that day. He was there to help the people who knew they were going to die. And the people who were there to help the hurt and injured get out of the building. God was there to stop some people from going to work on time, and not be in the buildings when they were hit. And God will always be with those left behind.

Feeling a bit stressed!

Joe just got word that he is going to Holland for 3 months in two weeks! I wouldn't be as stressed about it if I wasn't already working on my Master's. Plus this year I am dealing with 14 students, and 7 assistants. OI! So I'm very tired, and worried about how I'm going to get through this. I know I'm not supposed to worry. God wouldn't give me more than I can handle. He must think highly of me, because this seems like a lot of faith to have in me. Joe is going to be gone until 12/22. Yes, three days before Christmas! He said that he's going to take the next two weeks off, so that will be nice.

To help deal, I am going to hire someone to help me clean the house, and I bought paper dishes. Joe is a huge help around the house, as many of you know. He's already been in Salt Lake for a week and 1/2 and will be there another week and a half. So it is almost like 4 months. At least he comes home from SL every week to see us, and help me around the house.

Please pray for peace for me. Also for the girls, and Joe. The girls and I are going to miss Joe. And he'll miss his girls.
